About the Athens location
Our Athens class meets at Engel & Völkers on W Washington St in downtown Athens. It’s an easy drive for students from Madison and west Huntsville, and from Decatur across the Tennessee River.
You get the same 60-hour Alabama pre-license course we teach at our Vestavia Hills school, in a small in-person group. MY Real Estate School handles enrollment, materials and scheduling, and your on-site moderator introduces themselves on the first day.

After you’re licensed in Athens
Once you pass the state exam, you’ll need an Alabama broker to sponsor your license. In Limestone County, many agents also join the Athens-Limestone Association of REALTORS®; your brokerage will help you set up MLS access.
Keep your first deadline in mind: the 30-hour post-license course within six months of activating your license (twelve if it stays inactive), then 15 hours of continuing education every two years. Both are available online through our site.

When does class meet?
Tuesdays and Wednesdays for eight weeks, daytime 10:30am – 2:00pm. This location runs every session on our class calendar; pick your start date above.
How much does it cost?
$449.99 for the 60-hour course, plus the required $65 textbook.

Yes. The same 60-hour course is taught live on Zoom ($449.99), or you can take it online at your own pace.
What happens after I finish the course?
You schedule the Alabama salesperson exam with Pearson VUE, then join a brokerage to activate your license. Within six months of activating it (twelve if it stays inactive) you complete a 30-hour post-license course, which we offer online.
