About the Birmingham location

This is our main school, where Mark Yarbrough and his team teach the pre-license course in person. It’s on US-31 in Vestavia Hills, a short drive from downtown Birmingham, Hoover and Homewood, on the second floor of the Barbour Building with parking in the rear lot.

Every session on our calendar runs here, daytime and evening, and you can switch between the two within the same 8-week class. Textbooks and materials are included; you pick them up on the first day.

After you’re licensed in Birmingham

Once you pass the state exam, choose a brokerage to sponsor your license; it’s worth talking to a few Birmingham-area firms while you’re still in class. Many agents here also join the Birmingham Association of REALTORS®, which partners with the Greater Alabama MLS, the largest multiple listing service in the state.

Then complete the 30-hour post-license course within six months of activating your license (twelve months if it stays inactive), and 15 hours of continuing education every two years. Both are available online through our site.

What happens after I finish the course?

You schedule the Alabama salesperson exam with Pearson VUE, then join a brokerage to activate your license. Within six months of activating it (twelve if it stays inactive) you complete a 30-hour post-license course, which we offer online.
